👉Older vintage saxes are known for there warm tones and dynamic ranges from soft to loud .New saxes are brighter but miss out on that old fat tone. The Mansdone Alto has the best of both worlds . It’s warm and bright.This is rare and hard to find.

👉Your sax is solid and has some weight to it. Most all new saxes need to be adjusted after getting them. This one is perfectly fine and needs no adjustments.

👉I agree with the silver finish. It helps brighten the tone more. I've never seen a silver body with gold keys . Vintage or new. This gives the sax a real unique look.The little aqua gems is a nice new touch.

👉The sax ergonomics are really good. The sax is lightening fast !The tone is great . The intonation is very good. There's no rough spots or defects in the finish. It is obvious . it has been assembled with great care. The case is really good.

👉The main thing is overall is not how it looks though it's how it plays. I really don't care how it looks at all. In fact it's very flashy looking ! If it was not pretty and still played like it dies now l would still be very impressed . I can see the innovations and pride put in to making it . I saw in there an entire box of plastic cover reeds ! That's amazing .! No one does all the extras like you do.

👉The patented bearing no screws is very inivative! innovative It makes the sax super tight. I have a 1967 Selmer Mk 6 and just last week l noticed a few screws on it had worked there way out quite a long way. This is very common in all saxes. They tend to do that with all screws.

I briefly played it last night .I did not have the right reed. Roddy l played it with the reed it came with
A D'Addario 2 1/2 plastic over reed . I was surprised!
I used to use those for many years. Great top of the line reeds . And it played way eye better. I have a Meyer alto mouthpiece. I have not tried yours yet. All the accessories are great. And the neck strap !

Solía usarlas durante muchos años. Son lengüetas de primera calidad. Y sonó mucho mejor de lo que esperaba. Tengo una boquilla Meyer para alto. Aún no he probado la tuya. Todos los accesorios son geniales. ¡Y la correa para el cuello!

👉The sax already plays better than my 1985 Yanigsawa and is just as heavy and solid but still has that nice warm tone the old Yani has but with more bite.

👉The tone is unbelievable as you can hear for your own ears and l am super excited about how great it sounds and plays. The real test is in the recording studio and we have already proved how great it sounds.
